What is the object of the project
The aid for small and medium-sized enterprises to purchase/utilise digital products ang their overall support for their digital transformation is one of the flagship projects that have been approved and included in the investments of the Recovery and Resilience Facility
The object of the Project of the Framework Agreement consists in the provision of value-added services for the operation of a supporting mechanism of the action Digital Transformation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), to the Ministry of Digital Governance and the IS S.A., is subdivided into the following sections :
Section 1: Production operation and implementation of additional functions on the existing Aid Management Digital Platform (AMDP-HPDE).
Section 2: Provision of Administrative, Operational and Technological Support Services to the beneficiaries throughout the life cycle of the action.
Section 3: Design, implementation and Operation of an Information System for the operation of an Escrow Accounts payment mechanism.
Object of the Program “Digital SME Tools” is the enhancement of the digital maturity of the country’s small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which operate in a wide range of sectors of the economy. Through the Program, the participating enterprises may receive grants in order to:

- digitize electronic transactions with customers and partners, including e-commerce;
- increase the level of security and trust in the electronic transactions, through the utilisation of new digital products and services.
Expected benefits from its implementation
The action Digital Transformation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) will be a large scale one, will include a wide range of aided actions, covering the greatest possible range of businesses, will strengthen private investment in new technologies and will contribute in the improvement of specific indices of digital readiness of the country (DESI – Digital Economy and Society Index). The recipient undertakings are expected to surpass 100,000.
