What is the aim of the project?
The aim of the project is to reduce the administrative burden, to increase the availability of accurate statistical data on tourism economic activities and to provide real-time data on tourist arrivals and the use of accommodation facilities.
More specifically, it is the upgrading of the services of the Ministry of Tourism, the introduction of reduced data fragmentation related to tourism entrepreneurship and the facilitation of business activity.
What are the services of e-MITE?
The project services include the following:
- Information related to tourism legislation (laws and regulations) with a complex classification to cover smart search services.
- The recording of terms, documents and issuance deadlines regarding the registration certificates for legal operating conditions, their monitoring/control, revocation and renewal.
- Issuance, renewal or revocation of special quality certification labels (e.g. Greek cuisine, wineries to visit, etc.).
- Information on the processing of applications, certificates, compliance obligations, deadlines and the issuance of administrative acts, supported by automatic alert systems for end-users (sms, e-mail, etc.).
- Certificates automatically generated by the system should be signed digitally.
- Receipt and processing of applications for the participation of tourism enterprises in specific incentives and investment programs.
- Advanced search for businesses and tourism professionals by category of business, classification and specialization.
- Information on the results of audits of tourism companies and the penalties imposed and supporting documents.
- Export statistics for all possible combinations between data recorded by the regional and central departments of the Ministry.
- Creation of an electronic registration of complaints and attachment of the relevant reports of the auditors, decisions on sanctions and their processing.
