With a package of ten new projects with a total budget of 32,1 million Euros, Information Society is proceeding with additional functionalities of Syzefxis II, which is currently being implemented and is in the roll out phase, with the aim of further technological upgrading of approximately 34,000 bodies of the Greek State concerned.
With the completion of the roll out phase of the project as well as the specific interventions, higher interconnection speeds will be achieved for the public bodies, the modernization of their telecommunication equipment, as well as the provision of a set of new services, such as the teleconference service, mobile telephony services, etc.
At the same time, the foundations are being laid for the end-to-end configuration and implementation of modern security policy throughout the network of Syzefxis II, in order to make the operation of the public bodies even safer, while at the same time the necessary measures are taken with the installation of relevant equipment for the uninterrupted operation of the network’s core infrastructure.
The important interventions include the upgrading of the infrastructure of the Greek School Network, which currently serves more than 13,700 school units across the country. Upgrading will be carried out through the supply of an access – security device, from which the Greek School Network will manage the services it provides to the school community.
