Over 129,000 applications have been submitted to this day for the “Dentist Pass” programme, since the opening of its operating platform on May 23rd.

This is an action by the Ministry of Health, implemented by Information Society S.A. within the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan “Greece 2.0”, funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU, with a total budget amounting to thirty million euro (€30,000,000).

The “Dentist Pass” programme aims to promote and strengthen preventive dental care for more than 660,000 children aged 6-12. The programme includes a dental check-up, dental cleaning and plaque removal, fluoride treatment and the provision of relevant instructions.

Parents or guardians of children born in the calendar years 2011 to 2017 can apply on the programme’s online platform at https://vouchers.gov.gr/dentistpass. Each family can submit only one application, which includes all children – family members.

Each beneficiary of the programme will receive a digital debit card (pass) amounting to €40 per eligible child. Each debit card can cover the total cost of the relevant dental care services up to the aforementioned amount, provided by any private dentist.

This amount may be used exclusively for providing preventive dental care services to the minor-beneficiary; any transfer to third parties is not permitted.

The “Dentist Pass” digital debit card can be used within six (6) full calendar months following the month when it was issued. The deadline for submitting applications is Sunday, 22 October 2023.

The Managing Director of Information Society S.A., The Managing Director of Information Society S.A., Mr. Stavros Asthenidis, stated the following regarding the implementation of this social aid programme: “The Dentist Pass is yet another action of a social nature, aiming to strengthen the preventive dental care of tens of thousands of children. At Information Society, we are particularly happy to undertake programmes such as Fuel Pass, Power Pass, Market Pass and now Dentist Pass, as – among others – they are aiding a large group of our fellow citizens in need.”
