The Information Society SA announced on 24.12.2019 a call for Tenders for the conclusion of an Executive Contract for the Framework Agreement numbered 1453/04.07.2019 for the Project: “SYZEYXIS II – Security/telephony/teleconferencing/wiring infrastructure”.

This call was preceded by a number of calls expected in the near future, from which the executive contracts will emerge, through which the three Subprojects of SYZEYXIS II, which constitute Framework Agreements, with a total budget of 580 M€, will be implemented.

The notice concerns the implementation of the Security of the Central Infrastructures of SYZEYXIS II and has a budget of 2.520.325,21 € (including VAT 24%), and the deadline for submission of tenders by the candidate contractors is the 27th of January 2020.

The Project “SYZEYΞIS II – Security/Telephony/Teleconferencing/Wiring Infrastructure” is one of the main projects of SYZEYΞIS II and is co-funded by European and National funds (OP “Public Sector Reform” NSRF 2014-2020), while “LOGICOM SOLUTIONS LIMITED” and the Association of companies “OTE SA – SPACE HELLAS SA – UNISYSTEMS SA” are candidate contractors.

The contracts of SYZEYΞIS II were signed in July 2019 and since then, the Information Society SA has taken all necessary steps to ensure the timely implementation of all five sub-projects that make up the overall “SYZEYΞIS II”. Thus, two of the five Subprojects, SIX DC and ISP SLA, which are international open tenders, with a total budget of 28 M€, are already being implemented, while the call on 24.12.2019 gave the impetus for the implementation of the remaining three Subprojects, “Nodes 1-8”, “Wireless Node” and “Security/Telephony/Teleconferencing/Wiring Infrastructure”. More than 30 more executive contracts are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

The “SYZEYXIS II” project concerns the creation of the Public Sector Network (pursuant to Law 3979/2011), with the main objective of providing a set of upgraded telecommunication services to all General Government entities for three consecutive years, thus providing coverage to approximately 34,000 points of presence (buildings). It is a continuation and extension (quantitative and qualitative) of the existing National Public Administration Network “SYZEYXIS”, which currently covers 4,500 points of presence of institutions.

Through the “SYZEYXIS II” project, the telecommunications infrastructure of the entire Public Sector will be upgraded, so that all General Government bodies will now have broadband services at their disposal for the synergy between them and the optimal service of citizens and businesses. At the same time, public telecommunications costs will be significantly reduced due to the aggregation of demand and the exploitation of economies of scale.
