The decision to launch an international tender for the project “Development of value-added services of the DIAVGEIA programme”, with a total budget of €1.045.000,00, has been published. The tender is expected to be announced by the Information Society SA within the next few days.
The announcement of the project, which comes immediately after the passing of the law “Digital Governance and e-Services”, seals the commitment of Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis and the Secretary General of Digital Governance and Simplification of Procedures Leonidas Christopoulos, to the provision of essential services to citizens, services that contribute decisively to the creation of the new face of modern administration, through the enhancement of transparency, information and dissemination of information.
The object of the project is the complete upgrade of the existing application of the Diavgeia programme with the main objective of extending its functionality, enhancing the characteristics of transparency, usability, information and dissemination of information with a primary focus on participatory and personalised information for citizens and businesses.
This will strengthen the role of the system within a wider digital governance ecosystem that supports and promotes the State’s efforts for a modern administration. An extension of the applications will be implemented with the addition of functionalities that will allow the posting of more types of transactions, which will lead to further transparency in the functioning of the public administration. At the same time, in order to enhance the extroversion of the system, an extension/upgrade of the information search subsystem will be implemented both at technical and functional level. The operation indexing system will be modernised to expand or contract dynamically according to the daily load and separated from the suspension subsystem to remain fully available even under high load conditions. Finally, there will be a strengthening of the information subsystem with the integration of extended usage statistics. The system will be scalable for the addition of new sources resulting from other actions, which concern the overhaul of technical features and capabilities such as the management of changes in the organisational structures of the institutions, the monitoring of transaction volumes and system load, the enhancement of centralised management functions and the provision of the subsystem to ensure maximum continuity of operation.
