The “Market Pass” programme started today and already within a few hours of operation of the platform more than 120,000 citizens applied for it.
This is an action implemented by the Information Society and constitutes a measure to strengthen households, in order to cover part of the increased costs of purchases, especially for food products, due to the significant increase in the consumer price index.
The programme will have a duration of six months (from February 2023 to July 2023) and all applications will be made based on the last TIN digit of applicants here: https://vouchers.gov.gr/marketpass

The total budget of the project amounts to six hundred and fifty million euros (€ 650,000,000.00).
Beneficiaries of the “Market Pass” Programme are natural persons, single or married persons, parties of registered partnership, separated, divorced or in widowhood, who are tax residents of Greece and fall under the criteria of income and value of immovable property referred to in paragraph 1 of Article 2 of the Joint Ministerial Decision.
The state aid is granted at household level. The members of the household shall be the spouses/parties of registered partnership, their dependent children, other dependent members and their guests in accordance with the latest Personal Income Tax Return for tax year 2021, as submitted until 31/12/2022.
The amount of the state aid per household amounts to ten percent (10%) of the monthly purchase amount, which is set at two hundred and twenty (220) euros for the single-member household, increased by one hundred (100) euros for each additional member of the household with a maximum of one thousand (1,000) euro purchases. In case the beneficiary chooses the credit in a bank account, the amount of aid shall be eighty percent (80%) of the above amount.
Today, the process of submitting applications by citizens-natural persons whose TIN ends with the digits 1, 2, 3 and 4, has started. The process of submitting applications by citizens-natural persons whose TIN ends with the digits 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 0, will start tomorrow.
Applications for financial aid shall be submitted by March 15th, 2023.
The sum of money credited to the digital Market Pass debit card may be used exclusively by the beneficiary for the purchase of goods of any kind in stores or local public markets active in the retail trade of food products.
