The submission of applications under the ‘Youth Pass’ programme, whose platform was launched on Friday 9 November, was successfully completed yesterday 12 December.

More than 139 thousand (139,728) beneficiaries will receive a total of more than € 20 million € (20.959.200,00 €).

This is an action undertaken by the Ministry of the Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Digital Governance and the Ministry of the Interior and implemented by Information Society SA in the context of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan ‘Greece 2.0’ with funding from the EU NextGenerationEU programme.

It aims to provide financial aid of € 150 to young people who reached the age of 18 or 19 between 1 January 2022 and 31 December 2022. Youth Pass takes the form of a digital debit card provided to beneficiaries in order to use the aid granted to them to purchase goods or services from undertakings operating in sectors related to tourism (e.g. tourist accommodation), culture (e.g. attending theatre performances or concerts, buying books, etc.) and transport (taxis, buses, trains, ferry/air tickets or car/yacht rentals, etc.).

The Managing Director of Information Society S.A., Mr. Stavros Asthenidis said: ‘Youth Pass is yet another value-added aid action for citizens, young people in particular. We at Information Society have undertaken to carry out most of those society-oriented actions in recent years and we are very satisfied as they were implemented properly and effectively’.
