What is the object of the project?
The object of the contract is the implementation of the Project “Modernization and strengthening of the existing on-premises infrastructure of the Government Computing Cloud (G-Cloud) and creation of a second node and provision of Public Cloud services and Automation as a service”.
The objective is to ensure the operational continuity of the production operation of the information systems that are hosted or will be hosted in the infrastructures of the GGPSDD in the context of the next-generation Government cloud (G-Cloud NxG) and to cover the expansion of resources related to infrastructure, when and where required, by modernizing and strengthening the existing infrastructure of the Government Computing Cloud (G- Cloud) of the GGPSDD, to enable the provision of modern information systems hosting services to the hybrid cloud computing standards to the Public Bodies, according to their needs and providing a service-level agreement, as required by law, and automation that will allow, in addition to the existing ones, the hosting of the critical Information Systems of the Public Administration too.
In addition, the aim of the project is to provide new advanced digital services such as the availability of ready-made configured systems (Platform as a Service), the implementation of Virtual desktop infrastructure (Desktop as a service), the achievement of the maximum possible level of automation in the production operation of the system and in the service of end-users, as well as the maintenance of a high level of quality of service at the level of security and high availability.
In order to achieve the above objectives, it is planned to strengthen the infrastructure by implementing two modern technologies, symmetrical data centers, in different locations, with modern Active-Active operating architecture, which in addition to providing an alternative data center (DRS) will allow providing different SLA levels even those of zero data loss or zero downtime for selected centralized information systems hosted on G-Cloud.
The implementation of the above requires the supply of equipment, software, licenses, special tools, as well as installation, configuration and staff training services. In particular, the needs extend to the following areas:
- Procurement of a high-performance digital storage system
- Procurement of digital Object Storage system
- Servers Supply
- Procurement of backup infrastructure (hardware & software)
- Network backbone devices
- Equipment and software devices for perimeter security services procurement
- Service Software, Automation and Supply of License Permits for Infrastructure Software
- Public Cloud Services, including PaaS and DaaS
- The provision of a platform for Automation as a service for the wider needs of the Public Sector by utilizing technological processes for automation of procedures (Robotic Process Automation – RPA), which will strengthen the overall services offered by the Government Computing Cloud
- Architectural design of hybrid cloud solutions
- Installation and configuration services
- Training services
- Technical support services for administrators and end users
- Secondary Data Center Hosting Services
- Telecommunications Interconnection Services of the two Data Centers
