What is the object of the project?
The object of the project is the creation of an integrated digital platform for the presentation, highlighting and promotion of modern Greek culture, as well as seven (7) thematic sub-platforms.
The project will be implemented through the following main actions, including but not limited to:
- Development of a Digital Platform
- Content Editing (Audiovisual Material)
- Content utilization system for the creation of a training program
- Creation of Visual Identity
What are the purpose and objectives of the project?
The aim of the project “Platform for the presentation and promotion of modern Greek culture” is:
- The creation of a digital platform on the modern culture that will primarily make available and show rich audiovisual content in a multilingual environment, will focus on “easy-to-use and share” functions, the design and aesthetic excellence and the promotion of Greek design, the adoption and integration of modern presentation and interaction techniques equal to those used by popular international platforms
- The creation of seven (7) sub-platforms on music, dance, cinema, theatre, visual arts, design, books
- The pioneering design of an aesthetic environment of the basic platform and of individual platforms, through modern innovative and attractive representations of the content of the cultural product, with a view to effectively highlighting individual sectors of modern culture
- The possibility to grant relevant privileges of access to specific categories of users for the introduction and management of the content of the platform, as well as free search, browsing and access to the content to all prospective visitors/users
- The design of a distinct and unique identity for the platform, which is consistent with its purpose and character.
What are the expected benefits?
The following benefits are expected from the implementation of this project:
- Strengthening of the country’ s image and cultural identity, so that Greece can be established on the world culture map as a producer of modern cultural goods
- Strengthening of the country’s tourism product, as well as the general consumption of Greek cultural goods at an international level (e.g. music, cinema, book)
- Strengthening of the local communities engaging in and investing, inter alia, in the production of cultural goods (e.g. design, handicrafts) by promoting local cultural events, venues and locations of events organized by cultural institutions, as well as cultural goods and, thus, enhancing the contribution of culture to the economy; by increasing the consumption of relevant goods and services.
- Strengthening of the identity (brand) of contemporary cultural creation, which is expected to lead to its enhancement
