What is the object of the project?
The object of this project is the implementation and operation of high capacity interconnections between the SIX-1 of the SYZEFXIS II network of the National Telecommunications Network (NTN) and international data centers of Cloud Services Providers, through a platform for interconnection with these international data centers.
What are the purpose and objectives of the project?
The aim of the project is to provide upgraded interconnections of the National Telecommunication Network (NTN) with Data Centers (DCs) of international Cloud Services Providers, including but not limited to Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud, AWS and IBM Cloud to be used by the Public Sector Network (PSN) and in particular by GSIS, as an extension of its existing infrastructure.
The interconnection of the NTN with the international Cloud Services Providers shall be implemented through a platform of the Contractor or its subcontractor, which will enable the interconnection with multiple international Cloud Services Providers, at least with those mentioned above. The use of such a platform allows for flexibility, scalability and the ability to upgrade services for interconnection with international Cloud Services Providers, as it offers easy and fast activation, modification of interconnection capacity, implementation of hybrid solutions using multiple Cloud Services Providers at the lowest possible cost.
