84% of bodies – partners believe that ‘Information Society’ projects
contribute to the improvement of public administration

A survey through a structured electronic questionnaire to determine the degree of satisfaction of its bodies – partners was presented by ‘Information Society’ during an event held on the topic: “From planning to Implementation”.

According to the results of the survey that were analysed by the Director of Communication of the company, Ms. Eleni Dede the majority of the 85 participants (84%) believe, inter alia, that the projects implemented by ‘Information Society’ contribute to improving the administrative capacity of the public administration.

‘Information Society’, which is the central hub for the planning, development and implementation of the Information Technology, Communications and Digital Transformation Projects of the Ministry of Digital Governance, aims to continuously promote the digital and administrative transformation of the country, optimise the functioning of the state and serve citizens and businesses.

To achieve its aim, it is invited to cooperate with a number of public administration bodies “bodies-partners”. In this regard and through the implementation of the quantitative survey on the satisfaction of the bodies-partners of the ‘Information Society’, the company was able to draw useful conclusions in order to adjust its action plan and ultimately upgrade the experience of its collaborating bodies – partners.

“Journey” to the digital progress of Greece with the projects implemented by the ‘Information Society’

Consistent with its commitment to the sound and timely implementation of a large part of the digital transformation bible projects , the ‘Information Society’ is making rapid progress in this regard.

And because “a picture is worth a thousand words” the company created and presented a video through which the viewer can take a “journey” through the digital progress of Greece with the projects implemented by the ‘Information Society’ and being in their final stages…

The projects:

  • Development of public infrastructure “Syzefxis II”,
  • Installation of remote hearing systems
  • Single Government Cloud (G-Cloud)
  • Modernization of the Hellenic National Meteorological Service
  • Modernization and upgrading of European number 112
  • Digital Fire Alert and Response Service
  • Youth Pass
  • Management of the cultural reserve of the Philatelic and Postal Museum
  • Acropolis digital museum
  • Personal assistant for people with disabilities

The Managing Director of the ‘Information Society’, Mr. Stavros Asthenidis, speaking about these projects, also gave the position for the next day: “We are fighting to make our country better in terms of digitization, not only for the next day but for the generations to come. The vision of the country that we started to implement in 2019 through our plans and the results you see today are basically a “future Greece”, a “Greece for our children”. So, likewise, the greatest plans are the ones which we are expected to implement.”

‘Information Society’ participated in No Finish Line Athens

The ‘Information Society’ was present for the first time at the 8th No Finish Line Athens.

In the leading charity sports action held in Greece by NFL Athens and ”Together for Children” in cooperation with Ermis and OAKA for the support of children in need , under the auspices of the international organization No Finish Line International and Prince Albert of Monaco.

The race offered unique emotions to the thousands of participants who responded to the call to offer to families with children with health problems or disabilities.

In this great charity race in which 9,898 runners and walkers sent a resounding message of love for children, inclusion and social contribution, the executives of ‘Information Society’ participated and ran with great enthusiasm.

They even collected 233 kilometres, which are converted into money for the implementation of programmes by the association of associations and institutions “Together for Children”. Overall, the results of the action were impressive. The organisers announced that this year they have achieved the goal set: Donation revenue increased by 50% compared to 2023, recording more than 100,000 kilometres of offer.
