Information Society is expected to proceed soon to the tendering of a project, amounting to 1.6 million euro, regarding the upgrade of the platform of the special secretariat for private debt management.

The project “Development and Implementation of a Plan to Improve the Organizational Operation of the Special Secretariat for Private Debt Management (EGDIX) for the provision of innovative services in order to support the viability of small and medium-sized enterprises” aims to upgrade the services provided to small and medium-sized enterprises through the platform.

The project’s objective is the development of an integrated business model for the provision of the services of the Special Secretariat for Private Debt Management (EGDIX), through the modelling and standardization of the services provided to businesses. The main purpose of the project is to upgrade and optimize the operation of EGDIX’s services, so as to make them less bureaucratic, more accessible and more business-friendly.

“Today, the operation of the Special Secretariat for Private Debt Management (EGDIX) is characterized by complexity, inhomogeneity and the existence of overlaps between its existing operational structures, thus making it difficult for the companies it serves to receive high quality services and information. For this purpose, full administrative and operational integration is required, as well as the operational interoperability of systems and organizational structures, which should be accompanied at least by a single organizational structure and simplified procedures” Dimitris Giantsis, General Manager of the Directorate-General of Projects of Information Society S.A., reported to “Moneyreview”.

Initially, we will record and evaluate the current situation in terms of the services provided by EGDIX to businesses and, subsequently, we will proceed to redesign the organizational and operational model of EGDIX’s Central Service. Finally, by moving to a new operational business model, we will provide businesses with tools for sustainability and specialised knowledge. The aim of the project is to strengthen the structures and operations of the Special Secretariat for Private Debt Management (EGDIX) in order to further and more drastically reduce the obstacles to the development of healthy entrepreneurship. In particular, through the implementation of this project, the required interoperability of EGDIX with other public bodies will be strengthened, so that all the public services provided, which have a direct impact on the exercise of business activities, will have a more integrated character after the interventions, with the minimum transaction cost possible for businesses”, he added.

The project, as reported by Information Society, is part of the wider effort to improve the business environment.
