More than 86,000 applications have been submitted and 71,057 have been approved to date under the programme “Dentist Pass”, which started 15 days ago (24 May).
This is an action carried out by the Information Society S.A. and its aim is to promote and enhance preventive dental care in more than 660,000 children born in the calendar years 2011 to 2016, legally residing in the Greek territory and having a Social Security Number (AMKA), or a Provisional Insurance and Healthcare Number of a Foreigner (PAAYPA).
The “Dentist Pass” is implemented within the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan Greece 2.0 with the financing of the European Union – NextGenerationEU and its total budget amounts to thirty million euros (€30,000,000).
Parents or guardians of potential beneficiaries of the state aid (children 6-12 years old) submit a request for funding to the online platform of the programme https://vouchers.gov.gr/dentistpass. Each family can submit only one application, which includes all children – family members.

Each beneficiary of the programme will receive a digital debit card (pass) amounting to €40 per eligible child. Each debit card can cover the total cost of the relevant dental care services up to the aforementioned amount, provided by any private dentist.

This amount may be used exclusively for providing preventive dental care services to the minor-beneficiary; any transfer to third parties is not permitted.

The “Dentist Pass” digital debit card can be used for six (6) full calendar months after the month of card issue. For example, a card issued on 15 June 2023 will be active until 31/12/2023.

As of June 6th, the beneficiaries can now submit their applications also to the Citizens Service Centres. The deadline for submitting applications for Dentist Pass is Sunday, October 22, 2023 for all TINs and for submission, either through the digital platform “vouchers.gov.gr” or through the Citizens Service Centres.

The Managing Director of Information Society S.A., The Managing Director of the Information Society S.A., Mr. Stavros Asthenidis stated as follows: “The Dentist Pass is yet another socially-enhanced and value-added aid action for citizens. An extremely important programme, which aims to strengthen the preventive dental care of tens of thousands of children. In the Information Society, we have undertaken the implementation of the majority of these actions in recent years and we are contributing to the effort of the Ministry of Digital Governance to make the digital transformation to serve as a catalyst for social progress.”
