Hellenic Post SA and the Information Society SA have signed a €70,000,000 programme agreement for the digital modernization and transformation of Hellenic Post.
The modernization of “Hellenic Post SA”, in the direction of its transformation, through investment in innovative technological infrastructure for the creation of innovative postal and financial services and the enhancement of its operational efficiency, with the development of new “smart” value-added services and business models that take into account international developments, is a one-way street.
The Digital Transformation of Hellenic Post (ELTA) will be funded by the Operational Programmes of the NSRF 2014 – 2020, the Public Investment Programme and dedicated resources.
The Digital Transformation of the Hellenic Post, is a complex grid of actions, which at an executive level, can be grouped in the following areas:
1) Modernization of ICT Infrastructure for the effective operation of the Agency, which includes, inter alia, the upgrade of the Agency’s computer equipment and telecommunications infrastructure for the provision of broadband services,
2) Implementation and Operation of critical Business IT Applications such as Enterprise Resource Management System, Decision Support System, Automation of the Postal Network, Management and Tracking of all postal items, Development of Automatic Sorting and Sorting infrastructure, Telematics system etc.
3) Implementation and Operation of new “smart” services and value added business models such as Smart Parcel Stations, Digital Branch, new “smart” financial services, use of multiple channels (Web, mobile apps, Call Center, social Networks etc.) etc.
